Hello everyone and happy Halloween! On Monday I brought my new camera on its first little outing. I felt like a kid again with my new toy and I could even tell that my Mam was enjoying 'playing' with it. I'm so impressed with the quality and I don't even know how to use it properly! That just goes to show how good of a camera it is! I'm not gonna lie it's pretty complicated for someone who's only ever used a point-and-shoot and iPhone to take pictures. I've decided to shoot in semi-auto modes for the first few weeks until I get used to it and then I might fly solo and shoot in manual mode. I've been using the AV mode and I'm pretty happy with how bright and clear they are.

I might do a few photography tips posts and maybe share new things I've learnt along the way? But before getting into my DSLR, I was thinking of doing a post with tips for using a point-and-shoot? I found it impossible to find any helpful posts - They're all about using a DSLR! Would that be something that would interest you?

It's the Canon 1200d if anyone was wondering. A couple of people on Instagram were wondering if it's a good camera and I couldn't answer that question as I hadn't used it yet. But it's safe to say I love it (already)! And I love learning new things about it every day - I even have a notebook to take down notes for it. Haha!

Outfit Details: I got the dress a couple of weeks ago on sale in Zara. I think it was nearly half price! Needless to say, I snapped that up in a heartbeat. The material is great quality and it's also really slouchy too making it super comfortable. As well as wearing it dressier like I have here, you could also throw on a pair of converse or plimsolls for a more casual feel. Versatility galore! The hat is also a new purchase, this time from Asos. I've wanted a floppy hat for so long but I could never find one that suited me. I decided to just throw caution to the wind and order this one from Asos and I'm so happy with it. It's the perfect size and shape - LOVE!

I hope you all have a fun-filled Halloween night!

Stay safe!
