POTW #11 | Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer

Garnier Ultimate Blends Sleek Restorer Shampoo and Conditioner

Welcome back to another instalment of 'product of the week' (read in the x factor voice over) Does anyone else love that voice? It never fails to amuse me. This week it's all about some lovely hair treats. These products are also very hyped up so we have a big question to answer this evening, did they live up to the hype? Let's find out.....

First of all, I was really impressed with the amount of different types they have, each catering for all different hair types. They have one to suit everyone from the marvellous transformer (for dull, dry hair) to the nourishing repairer (dry, damaged hair), the colour illuminator (for those coloured locks), the shine revitaliser (normal hair) to the silky smoother (for split ends).  I went for the 'sleek restorer' as my hair is quite dry and frizzy.

I was most impressed with how much the shampoo lathered and it only needed a little to do so. Amazing. I love me a foamy shampoo! As for ingredients, the two main ones are coconut oil and cocoa butter and I can thank them for my deeply nourished and soft locks. I can also thank them for that delicious smell they leave in my hair. Mmm COCONUTS.

Smooth, shiny and frizz free hair is my end result every time and it's cut down the need for straightening. It gives a gorgeous sleek look without weighing the hair down and it lasts for days - I haven't used an oil or serum since I've started using these! I've also noticed that I get a lot longer between washes with this which means only one thing, yep, this shampoo is a lazy girl's dream. Another thing I bloomin' love about these is they feel so luxurious, like a high end shampoo and conditioner. Simply beautiful. And not forgetting the best part, they're paraben free.

If you have dry, frizzy hair and are looking for a shampoo and conditioner to nourish the hair and help tame flyways then I would definitely recommend giving these a go. They give brilliant results and they're a great price for the quality and amount of product you get. They definitely deserve the hype. Next on my wish list is the Sleek Restorer 1 minute treatment.

Right, I'll love you and leave you. I'm off to eat some of the white chocolate fudge I made in HomeEc today *drools* and watch Corrie. Will they find Peter guilty? Don don don.....

Have you tried anything from the new Garnier Ultimate Blends range? What is your favourite shampoo and conditioner?

Love,
Cliona xx

  3. Yes, I have tried this line but the orangey one with argan oil. Even though my hair is dry, I didn't like it at all. I found it to make my hair oily really quickly and if anything, it just left my hair drier. I tried mixing with other shampoos and nothing. Didn't manage to make it work. So I went back to my Kerastase and my hair is thanking me! :)
