September's Favourite Beauty Bits!

Origins ginzing moisturiser and burt's bees mango lip balm

It's day two of #Blogtober and today I'll be doing a run through of 6 beauty products that I was loving throughout september. I've been loving everything from a dewy foundation to a lovely liquid lipstick to a natural everyday mascara, a body butter to combat dry skin and of course you wouldn't be logged on to clionahill.com if there wasn't a skincare product thrown in there too. I'm rather excited for this favourites post because some of my ALL TIME favourite products are featured.

First up we have my favourite product of the month: Origins GinZing Energy-boosting moisturiser. My skin has become quite dull looking recently so I've been reaching for the ginzing moisturiser a lot. Having both oily and dry skin makes finding a moisturiser a really hard task but I've finally found one that is just perfect for my skin. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and it looks so bright and full of life - Early mornings in yo' face! It also absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a greasy film. Oh and it smells likes jaffa cakes. Love is the word! Like what you hear? Well, I have a full review of the GinZing family coming up in a few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

As if having dry skin isn't enough I also have really dry, chapped lips all year round so a good lip balm is an essential for me. I've been loving the Burt's Bees Nourishing Lip Balm this month. It provides long lasting hydration, is made with 100% natural ingredients and has a sweet tropical scent. I even mentioned in a 'product of the week' post as I love it so much.

L'oreal mascara, rimmel apocalips luna & Nars sheer glow mont blanc

Next up is the ol' makeup favourites and the first product that I've been reaching for is L'oreal's Telescopic Clean Definition mascara. The wand is really thin so it's easy to apply to the inner and outer corners, it doesn't clump (although it is starting to clump now as it's extremely old! Oops!) and it coats every single lash. It's a bit pricey at nearly €17 so I probably wouldn't repurchase it for that reason but it's a nice mascara none-the-less.

Moving on to a more affordable product: Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquer in 'Luna'. I love the whole Apocalips range due to the fact that they're as pigmented as a lipstick but give a lovely glossy finish like a lipgloss. I've been using the shade 'Luna', a warm peach colour that is perfect for everyday wear as it's quite neutral looking once applied to the lips. It applies smoothly and even though it's a liquid lipstick I find them really easy to apply. If you're not a gloss fan then they also have a matte range too.

I treated myself to the Nars Sheer Glow foundation back in August but it only became a part of my daily makeup routine in September. I should've started using this sooner as it's honestly so lovely. It definitely deserves all the hype it gets. I don't want to say too much about it because I want to save it for another post but here's what I will say: It's a medium to full coverage foundation with a satin matte finish, doesn't cling to dry patches and feels weightless on the skin - Which is very important as I hate the feel of foundation. This suits me so well as it honestly doesn't feel like you have anything on. Perfect.

Soap & Glory daily smooth body butter

I won't bore you too much with this as I've already spoken about it in detail in a 'product of the week' post but basically it's a really thick body lotion that leaves my skin feeling so soft, it dries quickly and doesn't leave a greasy residue. It's a part of their 'Mist You Madly' range and it smells gorgeous due to the bergamot, blackcurrant, magnolia, freesia, vanilla, musk, rose hip seed oil and cocoa butter ingredients. Lovely.

I'm off to curl up on the couch, have a cup of tea and watch Gossip Girl. It's just what this miserable night calls for. What are your plans for tonight?

And what were your September favourites?

Love,
Cliona xx
