It's been donkey's years (Translation: ages) since I was last at Glendalough but a few weeks ago we headed out there for a spot of exploring and a nice little walk. It was absolutely breathtaking with magical winding trees, birds chirping and lots of greenery. It was calm, tranquil and heavenly - A perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle and stresses of life. There was a bountiful supply of gigantic trees but one stood out to me in particular. It had an enchanted feel to it and it's intertwined branches reminded me of the Whomping Willow Tree in Harry Potter. Thankfully this tree didn't attack me though ;-)

The air was crisp and there was a chilly breeze blowing about so it was a day for the layers. I decided to wear the cosiest jumper in my wardrobe which is a grey roll-neck from Penneys. I picked this up during the Christmas sales for only €5! It was quite possibly the best bargain I've bought to date. I also threw on my khaki green jacket from A-wear which was another sale purchase from a few years ago. This is my favourite summer jacket as it's so light and goes well with most jeans and shorts which is mostly what my wardrobe consists of. I also wore the comfiest jeans I own which again were a sale buy. I'm seeing a recurring theme here - that wasn't planned I promise. Ha! I just love a good bargain! These are the best jeans for the summer months as they are light wash and ripped: Summer is written all over them!

  2. Love the whole look. It's comfy and cozy yet very hip at the same time. I agree about the tree, very reminiscent of the Whomping Willow. Beautiful though. Makes me wonder how old it is.
