Bedtime Beauty

There's nothing better than hopping into bed
and slathering yourself in luxurious beauty
products after a long day.....

The first thing I like to do after I get into my pjs is take off my makeup. By the end of the day my makeup feels heavy and gross so that's when my Garnier Micellar Water (full reviewcomes to the rescue. It instantly breaks down makeup with minimal effort. It's gentle on sensitive skin, it doesn't leave the skin feeling tight or dry and it's always on offer in Boots for around €4. Bargain! With this on the market, who even needs Bioderma? ;-) I then follow up with the rest of my night skincare routine which I'm gonna save for it's own post. The next skincare product I like to keep beside my bed is the Avene Thermal Spring Water. I love using this for my eczema and for cuts and burns which I'm always getting in the Summer. It's very cooling and soothing so it's perfect for cooling down on a hot Summer's day (although we don't get much of those in Ireland. Yo, heatwave, where you at?).

Once my skin has been pampered it's time to take care of those lips. Nobody wants dry, flaky lips, now do they? *wink wink* The Lush Bubblegum lip scrub is no stranger to my blog as I've mentioned it in my pamper essentials post and I even reviewed it in full too. This little pot of joy keeps my lips flake free and it smells good enough to eat.... no, literally, you can just lick it off your lips! Amazing! Another one I've mentioned in a different pamper post {can you tell I'm partial to the odd pamper session? ;-)} is the Forever Aloe Lips lip balm. It's extremely moisturising and isn't overly greasy. It doesn't have much of a scent but I kind of prefer that in a lip balm anyway, sometimes lip balms can have a strong sickly sweet scent which makes it impossible to apply the product to your lips.

My last bedtime beauty favourites are the Scholl Dry Skin Recovery Cream for my feet and for my hands I like to use The Body Shop Honeymania hand cream. Wearing sandals and uncomfortable shoes in the Summer can be harsh on our poor old feet but this cream is super rich which leaves them feeling soft and gets rid of those pesky dry white patches I often get on my feet. The Body Shop hand creams are one of the best on the market in my opinion and the scent of this one has Summer written all over it!

What's your pre-bedtime beauty routine?

Sweet Dreams!

Love,
Cliona xx
