6 Hydrating Skincare Products For A/W

A/W is creeping up on us and often the harsh weather
takes a toll on our skin. Today I'll be sharing 6 products
that will help battle the dry/dehydrated skin we often
suffer from during the colder months.....

Dry/Dehydrated skincare

........

The most important thing for my skin especially in the winter months is to ensure that I'm not using a cleanser that's in anyway drying or stripping. My favourite type of cleansers that I find very hydrating are milk and oil cleansers. My first cleansing favourite is the Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser. Not only does it remove the last traces of makeup and leaves your skin feeling clean as a whistle but it also leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft and plump. A brilliant one to use for the Winter months. Another cleansing favourite is an oil-based one this time and it's from the SuperFacialist Vitamin C range.

Next up we have the Superfacialist Rose Hydrate Moisture Mask (review) and this is an amazing treatment for severely dry skin. My dry flaky patches instantly vanish and I'm always left with silky soft skin. It also helps with my foundation application because whenever I use this it just glides on and it sits better on my skin. It's also gentle on my sensitive skin. Lovely stuff! I love toners and they're a staple in my skincare routine but over the years I've had my fair share of bad ones that completely dried out my skin. But my skincare game changed last year when I discovered The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner (review). A gentle toner that provides hydration leaving the skin feeling soft and supple. Need I say more?

And lastly we have my favourite part of my skincare routine: moisturiser and serum. For my moisturiser I love using the Eucerin Dry Skin Replenishing Face Cream. This contains 5% urea which apparently is a natural moisturising ingredient - it's also a product of deamination in the liver which is then converted to urine {I'm doing Leaving Cert Biology ;-)}..... but let's just ignore that little fact *Awkward silence* A rich creamy moisturiser that leaves the skin feeling soft and supple without leaving a greasy residue. This was my first time to try a Eucerin product and I'm extremely impressed with the quality for the price - Amazing! I'll definitely be trying more from the brand. For my serum I love using the Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Booster. This contains hyaluronic acid which is a great ingredient for adding hydration to the skin. This serum works alongside your moisturiser to help retain the moisture in your skin leaving it feeling soft and hydrated all day every day. It's superb!

Watch out dry skin because with these products in my routine my skin will be feeling soft as a baby's bum!

What are your favourite skincare products for the A/W months?

Love,
Cliona xx

  1. I have yet to change my autumn/winter skincare routine as I'm still following the summer regime, a bit of laziness on my part. Nice post and I would try that Body Shop toner.

  2. The Super Facialist mask is a must have for me all year around, it's so hydrating and really gives my skin a glow. I love using cleansing oils to remove my makeup but haven't tried this one properly, I must pick up a bottle!
