7 Deadly Sins Of Beauty

Today I'm spilling all my beauty secrets through
the 'seven deadly sins of beauty' tag.........

seven deadly sins of beauty tag

.........

1. Greed ~ What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

I love a good bargain and I have copious amounts of bargain beauty buys. The most inexpensive product I own is the Rimmel Scandal Eyes kohl liner. I have a couple of these in a few different colours as they're my favourite kohl liners to use. I have the usual black and brown but my favourite is the nude version - perfect for achieving 'the minimal makeup look'. I also love how incredibly soft and creamy the textures of these liners are. You can't go wrong for €4.99! If you read my Mac haul post then you'll know that I picked up a large Mac pro palette and while the initial price isn't too bad as you fill it up gradually, but by the time it's full it will have to come to a whopping €150! And that's not even including the price of the palette itself! It's certainly steep but Mac eyeshadows are worth every penny in my opinion.

2. Wrath ~ What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

I don't really have a love/hate relationship with too many products; I either love it or I hate it. However one product that I didn't like for a good few months after I'd bought it was the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat foundation. As you can imagine I was heartbroken as I didn't pay all that money just for it to look pretty in the bottle, but after I purchased the Blank Canvas f20 brush I decided to give this foundation another go. With this brush the foundation applied like a dream and it looked flawless on the skin.

As for a product that was hard to get; that would definitely be the La Roche Posay Serozinc. This wasn't available in Ireland for the longest time and after eyeing it up for about a year, it was finally brought to Ireland. This was the definitely worth the wait and it deserves all the hype it gets. It's brilliant for controlling breakouts, it's refreshing and cooling, and it doesn't dry out the skin. I love it and it was worth the wait!

3. Gluttony ~ What are your most delicious beauty products?

This is a hard one as I have a lot of delicious products that are good enough to eat. Makeup wise my Mac lipstick is my favourite scent as it smells like vanilla cupcakes - this lipstick makes me want to bake all the time! Another great makeup product with a gorgeous scent is the Bourjois Healthy Mix which has a lovely fruity scent. As for delicious skincare, the award would easily go to the Origins GinZing Moisturiser (review). The gorgeous tangy orange scent reminds me of jaffa cakes and it's always very tempting to dip my finger in for a taste.

4. Sloth ~ What beauty products do you neglect due to laziness?

That's an easy one! Most definitely moisturising *insert monkey with his hands over his mouth emoji* I don't know what it is about moisturising but it just seems to be so easy to skip. A product that I like to use is the Nivea In Shower Body Moisturisers. This is a lazy girl's dream as they're no faffing about, spending ages rubbing in moisturiser and having to wait for it to dry. You just simply slather it on whilst in the shower, wash it off and you're good to go!

5. Pride ~ What beauty products give you the most self-confidence?

My makeup routine on a whole gives me confidence but if I were to pick just one product that gives me the most confidence it would probably be a good brow product. My whole mood depends on whether I'm having a good or bad brow day. Plus when you're eyebrows are on fleek you can conquer the world ;-) My current favourite is the Soap & Glory Brow Archery - it gives a really natural look which is perfect for my everyday makeup bag and it comes with a little brush at the end to tame those little unruly hairs!

6. Lust ~ What products are you currently lusting after?

We could be here all night talking about my long wish list - seriously, it's never-ending! But I'll narrow it down to just two things (harder task than it sounds, haha!). First up I've been eyeing up another Mac lipstick as I've the caught obsession bug after trying my first one a few months ago. These are going onto my Christmas list so let's hope Santa is good to me this year *wink wink* I've even asked my sister to pick up 'Creme Cup' in duty free becuase she went away on holidays last week. I think I was more excited for her to go to duty free than she was to be going away, haha! Next up on my wish list is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette - I've been eyeing it up for ages so I might just have to stick it onto my birthday wish list ;-)

7. Envy ~ What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

I've wanted a Jo Malone perfume for years but at the moment I just don't have the budget for it. Maybe one day though - my wedding or a big birthday possibly? I would also love the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette but with it costing €65 there's no way I can justify spending that amount of money on myself for just one palette. But if it were to make it's way wrapped up in a box under my christmas tree then I would be elated with happiness! Keep on dreaming Cliona ;-)

What are your 'seven deadly sins of beauty'?
