Mustard

how to wear mustard

.........

Mustard is not a colour I thought I'd ever wear, but my latest fashion goal is to start experimenting with my style. It's my Spring mission! I feel like I've been stuck in a rut style wise recently and with the new season approaching, it's time to shake things up a bit. I thought I'd start off with something simple, and so I went for a bold colour that I never thought of wearing. I've always liked mustard on other people but for some reason I thought it wouldn't suit me. But I was pleasantly surprised to find it suits my pale skin and brunette hair perfectly. I'll definitely be experimenting with my style over the next few months because after all......

"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone"

I picked this jumper up in the Zara January sales for around €10! It's perfect for the Spring/Summer months ahead as it has a very light material. It's loose and slouchy making it comfortable for everyday wear. It's also cropped so it goes well with a comfy pair of high-waisted jeans.
I also got the skirt in the Zara sale. I love the quality of it: the material feels really heavy and thick which is amazing for the cold weather here in Ireland. I also tied the whole look together with my grey skull scarf from H&M. This is a really thin, small scarf so it almost looks like a necktie. This is also very different for me as I normally like to wear thick, chunky scarves. But I love it and I can't help but feel a little bit like Audrey Hepburn in it ;-)

In other news, it's been a busy few weeks! We had my sister's engagement party last weekend and it was so much fun. I spent the whole of the mid-term just relaxing as I was exhausted after my exams. But the engagement party was a nice way to end the break. We went to a boat restaurant on the Liffey and it was amazing! I also did my first scope on Periscope and I'm officially hooked! I've also been very active on Snapchat too, so although I probably won't be able to post too much on my blog, I'll still be very active across all my social media so make sure you're following all the fun ;-) My username is @clionahill :-)

What are you afraid to wear?
And what colours will you be adding to your Spring wardrobe?

When Life Becomes Stressful......

Instagram diary blog post

........

It's been a long time since I've last blogged - a whole month! I've never been away from my blog for that length of time before, but sometimes life just gets in the way. I struggled to be away from the blog for so long and I've felt really unhappy over the last few weeks. But now that I actually have the time, I'm lost for words. I've tried to write at least a dozen different posts at this stage ranging from beauty to fashion, to lifestyle, but I decided to strip it back and just have a little chat. It's been a stressful few weeks but there has been a few little things perking me up and I thought I'd share them to get my blogging juices flowing once again......

"You need to let the little things that would ordinarily bore you suddenly thrill you." - Andy Warhol

1. Netflix Marathons: Well, I wouldn't call them marathons as of late, but you gotta have a study break every now and then! And I don't think anyone would disagree that an hour of Netflix can really do the world of good. Okay, exercise or fresh air or reading a book would probably be better, but everyone has to have their Netflix fix ;-) Recently, I've been loving 'How To Get Away With Murder' and 'Revenge'. I'm looking forward to just chilling this week and watching episode after episode!

2. A New Phone: I upgraded my old iPhone to the rose gold iPhone 6! I couldn't get the photo of it into the collage because I took it on my other phone and then lost it when I reset the phone *oops* But you can see it over on my Instagram and as you can probably tell I'm in rose gold heaven. At this stage my room is decked out in copper and rose gold stuff, so why not complete the collection with my phone *wink wink* But other than the look of it, it's a whole lot better than my other one and the camera quality is insane - I hardly ever take Instagram photos with my camera now!

3. A New Lipstick: And the last thing that's been getting me through my exams is buying a new lipstick. My goal for this year was to save more and I'm happy to say I've been sticking to it. I haven't bought anything since the Christmas sales! Cliona: 1 - Shops: 0
But to celebrate the end of my mocks, I'll be treating myself to a new lipstick. I ran a poll on Twitter as I couldn't decide for myself ;-) Charlotte Tilbury got the highest amount of votes so I'll be headed to her counter on Saturday *insert all of the excited emojis*

My plans for my week off include lots of relaxing and taking care of myself. I've been feeling quite exhausted and run down, and my sinusitis has been flaring up again. So I'm taking it as a sign that I need to rest and chill out. I've lots of blogging planned too so stay tuned......
