| The key pieces you need in your A/W wardrobe for the perfect cosy ensemble! |

October is in full swing and it's time to start building our Autumn/Winter wardrobes - For today's post I'll be sharing four key pieces that you need in your Autumn/Winter 2016 wardrobe to create the perfect street style look that could rival those that we've seen during Fashion Week.....

   1. Colour Block Jumper

I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of colour blocking with bright colours - I love seeing the trend on other people and I've always wanted to experiment with it. This jumper from Marks & Spencer is the perfect piece to try out the trend as the neutral colours are safe yet the variety of colours make a subtle statement.

The jumper also has slits up the sides which is another big trend this Autumn. I'm seeing it everywhere on the high street at the moment and the trend gets a big thumbs up from me! This style of jumper is handy for throwing over a pair of high-waisted jeans as well as tucking it into a skirt like I have for this look.

The jumper is easily my favourite piece from this look as it wins the Guinness World Record for softest fabric on Earth! I've heard great things about M&S jumpers from fellow fashion bloggers and they're not exaggerating when they say the quality is incredible! I'll definitely be stocking up on a few more jumpers - Is it possible to own too many? *wink wink*

   2. Button up a-line skirt

The cord button up a-line skirt is back and it's back with a bang! Every Autumn for the past few years these skirts have been spotted in street style photography and they come in a variety of different styles and colours so there's one to suit everyone!

I chose a classic Autumn hue - Khaki - as it'll suit my neutral capsule wardrobe perfectly. The skirt is effortless to style; Just tuck in an oversized jumper or throw a cardigan and belt on over it, and you'll have a stylish look in less than two minutes! Perfect for those mornings you've accidentally slept in {We've all been there!}

If you're a 70's style lover then this is the perfect piece for you, just throw on a fedora hat and pair it with a bell sleeve top, and you'll be transported back to the fun, wacky era that we all know and love!

   3. Military Jacket

Another piece I've seen floating around the high street is the military jacket. I love the sartorial look of these jackets and they remind me of something that Victoria Beckham would wear. She's always spotted sporting this style of jacket in street style photos and it's looking as if it's going to be huge this season.

You all know that I love dainty details and this jacket was made for me with its subtle touch of silver and the button details. The structured shoulders and the classic look of the jacket make it perfect for occasion wear, office wear as well as creating a smart casual outfit. I think this is a great piece to have in your A/W capsule wardrobe for creating the perfect street style look and Victoria Beckham will have to eat her heart out ;-)

   4. Suede Chelsea Boots

To me, chelsea boots are an Autumn staple and it's a key piece that I like to have in a variety of different styles and colours. As I was updating my wardrobe I noticed that I didn't have a black suede pair so I chose these from M&S. They were quite the bargain, costing just €42 but I was blown away by the quality! Comfortable, stylish, and they go with everything! I have a feeling I'll be wearing these a LOT this Autumn/Winter.
