| Debenhams had a 20% sale & in today's post, I'm sharing the bargains I picked up! |
Last week Blanchardstown Shopping Centre had a 20% discount night and most of the shops had a sale on in the evening. You may remember that it was my birthday two weeks ago and I had planned on spending my birthday money on a few makeup and skincare bits from Debenhams. As you can imagine I was elated when I found out about the sale because everything I planned to buy full price had 20% off! I've been trialing the products for a few days now and I thought I'd share my first impressions.....
Skincare:
October was a hectic month filled with drama so my skin has been suffering from all the stress and being on the go. I'm on a mission to get my skin back to normal so I decided to pick up two new cleansers so I can start double cleansing again, after neglecting it for the past few weeks.
The first cleanser I got was the Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel. I've tried a vast array of different cleansers from milks, to creams to oils, but the formula of this is the most unusual I've tried so far. It starts off as a gel and when massaged onto dry skin it turns into an oil. Once you start rinsing it off, the water turns it into a milk. I really do love the formula of this as it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft. I couldn't believe how soft my skin felt after using this and for a second I doubted whether I had put moisturiser on or not;My skin felt that soft and plump. But I hadn't applied moisturiser yet, it was all down to the cleanser! It works well as a morning cleanser as well as the second cleanser in my nighttime skincare routine. I tried using it to take off my makeup as well and it worked really well for that but I prefer using the other cleanser I bought for makeup removal.
And that brings me onto the second cleanser purchase: Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. The thing that stood out to me most about this cleanser is that it's unscented which is perfect for my skin as I suffer with eczema and my skin can be prone to reactions and sometimes skincare products can cause a bad stinging senstation. I'm glad to report that so far this cleanser has agreed with my skin, it feels gentle and I haven't experienced any stinging. This is my first time to try a cleansing balm and I'm really impressed so far! This has replaced my favourite cleansing oils and micellar waters as it removes makeup like no other.
