Debenhams Beauty Haul & First Impressions

| Debenhams had a 20% sale & in today's post, I'm sharing the bargains I picked up! |

Last week Blanchardstown Shopping Centre had a 20% discount night and most of the shops had a sale on in the evening. You may remember that it was my birthday two weeks ago and I had planned on spending my birthday money on a few makeup and skincare bits from Debenhams. As you can imagine I was elated when I found out about the sale because everything I planned to buy full price had 20% off! I've been trialing the products for a few days now and I thought I'd share my first impressions.....

October was a hectic month filled with drama so my skin has been suffering from all the stress and being on the go. I'm on a mission to get my skin back to normal so I decided to pick up two new cleansers so I can start double cleansing again, after neglecting it for the past few weeks.

The first cleanser I got was the Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel. I've tried a vast array of different cleansers from milks, to creams to oils, but the formula of this is the most unusual I've tried so far. It starts off as a gel and when massaged onto dry skin it turns into an oil. Once you start rinsing it off, the water turns it into a milk. I really do love the formula of this as it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft. I couldn't believe how soft my skin felt after using this and for a second I doubted whether I had put moisturiser on or not;My skin felt that soft and plump. But I hadn't applied moisturiser yet, it was all down to the cleanser! It works well as a morning cleanser as well as the second cleanser in my nighttime skincare routine. I tried using it to take off my makeup as well and it worked really well for that but I prefer using the other cleanser I bought for makeup removal.

And that brings me onto the second cleanser purchase: Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. The thing that stood out to me most about this cleanser is that it's unscented which is perfect for my skin as I suffer with eczema and my skin can be prone to reactions and sometimes skincare products can cause a bad stinging senstation. I'm glad to report that so far this cleanser has agreed with my skin, it feels gentle and I haven't experienced any stinging. This is my first time to try a cleansing balm and I'm really impressed so far! This has replaced my favourite cleansing oils and micellar waters as it removes makeup like no other.

If you read my post about makeup to brighten your day then you'll know that I recieved the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette for my birthday. I was so impressed with the palette that I needed to try some more Too Faced products and I had read a lot of good things about the Too Faced Hangover Primer. If you're a regular reader then you'll be familar with my dry skin woes so any product that promises to hydrate my skin has my attention. It contains skin-loving ingredients such as coconut water and probiotics to rejuvenate and nourish the skin. This creamy silicone free primer hydrates my skin and aids flawless foundation application. This is going to be a life saver this winter!

Two years ago Benefit released a palette as a part of their gift sets for Christmas that contained a variety of the box o' powders but by the time I went to purchase it, it had sold out. Fast forward to one year later, I spent weeks searching for the same palette or something close to it but I couldn't find it anywhere. As soon as the holiday beauty releases started rolling out this year I decided to have a look for it, not getting my hopes up but lo and behold I found it! *Insert Kool & The Gang 'Celebration' song* This year's version which is called Blushin' Babe is a little different to the one that was released two years ago. It contains 5 of the box o' powders {Sugarbomb, Rockateur, Coralista, Dandelion & Hoola} along with a sample of Watt's up highlighter, a mini They're Real push up liner and a mini They're Real mascara. It's a great way to try out a few of Benefit's products before spending a lot of money on the full sized products.

The last makeup product I bought has been on my wish list for ever:The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer. This highlighter has received a lot of hype in the blogging community and I wanted to see if it's as good as Becca Champagne Pop {review}. I was blown away by the incredible pigmentation of this and it's just as pigmented as the Becca counterpart. And the good news is that it's a whopping €18 cheaper than Becca!

Have you tried any of these products?
