| My Autumn pamper evening beauty & lifestyle essentials! |
The weekends are my favourite because it's usually the only chance I get to unwind. If you read my post about 5 ways to switch off & relax on Sunday then you'll know that a pamper evening is one of my favourite things to do on the weekend to relax. It's been a busy week this week so a good ol' pamper session is badly needed. I love having pamper evenings throughout the whole year but there's just something extra special about having one in the A/W months....
I always begin my Autumn pamper evening by running the bath and filling it with deliciously scented products. Recently, I've been using the Zoella Bath Latte which is a typical bubble bath. This product creates a serious amount of bubbles with just a small amount of product and the almond smell is sweet but not overly sweet and it fills your bathroom without being overpowering. It contains skin-loving ingredients such as almond, cacao and honey which all combine to make the skin feel really soft after your bath.
Another product from the Zoella Beauty range is the Le Fizz Fragranced Bath Fizzer. In all honesty, I was quite disappointed with this product as it just didn't really do much and I think it was a waste of money. I was heartbroken because I loved the bubble bath so much that I thought I'd love everything else in the range. This product has a light scent of macaron but I could hardly smell anything and it didn't really add to my bath in any way. However the only thing that it did do was make my skin feel extremely soft! These were the first new bath products I'd tried since I had a bad allergic reaction to Lush Snow Fairy shower gel at the start of the year but both products from the range didn't cause any irritation to my skin.

I finally got my hands on something from the Lush Halloween range and I decided to go for the Sparkly Pumpkin. I haven't actually tried this yet but the scent is incredible! It has a beautiful citrus scent with a combination of lime, grapefruit and juniper berry. As I was photographing this, the scent completely filled my room so I have high hopes for when I use this in my bath.
As soon as I step out of the bath I like to slather my feet with Soap and Glory Heel Genius. My feet get really dry in the winter, especially my heels so a good foot cream is essential! I also like to use their Hand Food to deeply moisturise my hands. This can be a little harsh on my hands so I only like to use it once or twice a week, and I won't use it if I have an eczema flare up. My lips are also in need of some TLC during the colder weather and the Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm is a life saver! It's formulated with honey so it deeply nourishes the lips *insert love heart eye emoji* Speaking of hydrating heroes, I've been loving a new hydrating mask recently - Origins Drink Up 10 Minute Mask. The scent of this reminds me of the Petits Filous apricot yoghurt that I used to have when I was a child. I think the scent is beautiful and the mask works well to hydrate my skin.
After my bath I like to treat myself to a post-bath pamper session. I start off by lighting a candle and my current favourite is a salted caramel one from Penneys. This candle was cheap but cheerful and it's just as good as my Yankee and Bath & Body Works candles. I then like to put on a pair of fluffy socks or my cosy slippers - 19 going on 90 *wink wink* I also like to paint my nails and my Autumn favourites are Essie 'Buy Me A Cameo' and Essie 'It's Genius'. Buy Me A Cameo is the most unique shade in my nail polish collection as it's a metallic almost rose gold nude shade and It's genius is a classic Autumnal berry shade with flecks of shimmer in it - My tips always look incredible with these bad boys on them!
The final step of my routine is my favourite: I stick on the kettle to make myself an orange & Lotus flower green tea from Twinings which is basically Autumn in a cup! I then like to read a book or plan some blog post and social media ideas. I usually finish off the evening with a movie or a tv show. Recently I watched Me Before You and it absolutely destroyed me *insert image of me surrounded by 100 tissues*
