| Two Budget Mascaras To Try! |
Mascara is one of my favourite makeup items as I think they have the power to completely change your appearance. If I don't have time for a full face of makeup, I always ensure that I'm least wearing a little bit of mascara to open up my eyes and try to make myself look somewhat presentable for the world *wink wink* I've been collecting makeup for a few years now and a high-end mascara is something I'm yet to try. There are just so many amazing budget mascaras on the market that I always end up with one sneaking their way into my shopping basket. So when FalseEyelashes.co.uk got in touch asking if I would like to try some of their most popular mascaras I was delighted as there is always room for some more budget mascaras in my collection. The website sells false lashes, mascaras as well as brow products so it's your one-stop-shop for perfecting your eye makeup!
First up is Lash Sensational which is actually one of my all-time favourite mascaras! I haven't used it in over a year though so I was excited to try it once again! The wand is quite unusual as it's curved with long bristles on one side and has shorter bristles on the other. But it allows you to coat every single lash and to easily apply product to the inner and outer corners as well as the bottom lashes. The only downside to this mascara is that it dries quickly so you have to apply your second layer pretty quickly. I don't really mind that too much as I think it's dramatic enough with just one layer.
Wearing the L'oreal Telescopic mascara on the left eye & the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara on the right.

The next mascara I've been trying is this L'oreal one and I love the intense black shade of it! It's very black which helps emphasize the lashes and I could tell the difference between the two when I wore each on two different eyes as shown in the photo above. The brush is much thinner and less complex looking than the Maybelline mascara but it's very simple to use and effective. I find that the slim brush is great for getting right up to the root of the lash and it's also great for the smaller corners and the bottom lashes. This mascara really demonstrates that you don't need a fancy brush for a great result.
It curls the lashes pretty well but when I wore the two mascaras on different eyes I could tell that the L'oreal one didn't hold a curl as well as its Maybelline counterpart. In saying that, though, I didn't find the need for eyelash curlers when I used the L'oreal one because it still provides a good curl. As you can see from the photo above, this mascara provided better separation for my lashes than the Maybelline one. The main function of the mascara is to lengthen the lashes which it does well! It doesn't really provide much volume but I find the dark black shade and the incredible separation helps to emphasize the lashes.

I would recommend the L'oreal mascara if you're looking for an everyday mascara that's easy to use. It's also great for beginners as the thin wand is simple to use.
I would recommend the Maybelline mascara if you're on the hunt for a dramatic mascara that provides length, volume, and curls the lashes! The dramatic results make it perfect for an event or nights out.
