3 festive candles review

| 3 Festive Candles I've Been Loving Recently! |

Candles are a great way to lift your mood, to brighten up the dark dreary days and to add a cosy aura to your home during the drab Winter months. They're also perfect for filling your home with a festive scent to help get you into the festive spirit. With just over a week to go until the big day, I thought I'd share three candles that have been sitting beside me on my desk these past few weeks to provide a little Christmas cheer to my daily life......

Salted Caramel:
My first favourite isn't a traditional Christmas scent but to me, this salted caramel candle is the epitome of Christmas baking. This is actually a budget candle, costing a mere €3 from Penneys but it's one of the best candles I've tried! It could easily be mistaken for a luxury candle as the glass jar and minimalistic branding has a luxurious feel to it and the scent fills an entire room very quickly and lingers for a good while too. Normally with budget candles, I don't notice a strong whiff of the scent when I walk into a room, I can usually only smell them strongly if I'm sitting beside them. So this candle exceeded my expectations and wowed me. The scent smells exactly like you've just baked something with salted caramel in it which is just perfect for this time of year! Not to mention, it'll have your mouth drooling and don't be surprised if you're craving chocolate salted caramel cupcakes as you light it *wink wink*

Christmas Cookie:
Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie has been my favourite Christmas scent for years now. It's become a cult candle in the Hill household and I don't think I'll ever get sick of this delicious sweet scent. I would compare the scent to the smell of vanilla essence as the strongest note in it is definitely vanilla. It doesn't smell like a normal vanilla candle though as it's more sugary like the scent of vanilla essence. The scent is very warm and rich which are my favourite kinda scents for the festive period. You certainly won't find me burning any floral or woody scents throughout December, that's for sure!

Winter:
I've wanted to own a luxurious candle for a long time but I could never summon the courage to depart with almost €50 for a Diptyque candle. The White Company has been on my radar for quite some time as well but for some reason, I assumed that the prices were similar to Diptyque. But I decided to check them out on Brown Thomas' website and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were only €24! I managed to bag myself a bargain during 'Black Friday week' as it was reduced to €19! To me, the price is very reasonable for such a high-quality candle and I can reuse the jar as a makeup holder when I'm finished.

The scent is a blend of cinnamon, clove and orange so as you can imagine it's a warm citrusy scent that reminds me of Christmas. My Mam made mulled wine one year and this scent makes me reminisce back to that cosy Christmas Eve when the house was diffused with a gorgeous Christmassy scent. She wasn't bothered to make it again though {*insert laughing emoji*} so this candle provides that delicious classic Christmas essence throughout the house.
