| Books I Read In 2016 & What's On My 2017 TBR List! /
I've always loved reading, as I child I'd often swap my toys for a book and devour the whole thing in a few short hours. However, we now live in a digital world where we're all slaves to the internet and with this huge distraction in our lives, it can be difficult to pick up a book. This year, I'd like to focus on being more present. Cutting back on Netflix and my time online is a great way to achieve this and I'll have more time to enjoy one of my favourite hobbies - reading - which is far more enriching than any TV series {sorry Gossip Girl! I still love you though!} There's definitely a bit of a fangirl {#TeamLogan} within me but instead of falling in love with characters in TV shows, I'm going to fall in love with book characters in 2017.
Reading has always been a huge part of my life and something I always say I'm going to do but never actually do is to incorporate books into my blog a bit more. I love reading just as much as I love fashion and beauty, and as my reading goal has been amped up a notch this year I thought it was about time I started to write regular reading roundups. To kick off the first reading roundup of 2017 I've decided to do a run through of the books I read last year as well as the books I want to read in 2017...
Books I Read In 2016:
1. Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro // My Rating: 4/5 stars
2. When We Collided by Emery Lord // My Rating: 4/5 Stars
I decided to give this book 4 stars instead of 3 because I thought the author dealt with bipolar very well but the romance aspect of the novel wasn't great.
3. Me Before You (Me Before You #1) by Jojo Moyes // My Rating: 5/5 Stars
This book broke me!!
4. Me After You (Me Before You #2) by Jojo Moyes // My Rating: 4/5 Stars
5. The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson // My Rating: 4/5 stars
6. Girl Online On Tour (Girl Online #2) by Zoe Sugg // My Rating: 3/5 stars
7. Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven // My Rating: 5/5 Stars
I'm obsessed with Niven! I don't think she could ever write a bad book!
8. Flawed (Flawed #1) by Cecelia Ahern // My Rating: 5/5 Stars
I loved this book! I fell in love with the characters and the world! I wasn't expecting much from it but fair play to Cecelia Ahern because it was amazing!
9. Pippa: Simple Tips To Live Beautifully // My Rating: 3/5 Stars
It was a good coffee table read if you're into fashion and beauty but I've read others that are much better.
10. Red Queen (Red Queen #1) by Victoria Aveyard // My Rating: 5/5 Stars
11. Glass Sword (Red Queen #2) by Victoria Aveyard // My Rating: 4/5 Stars
I knocked a star off for this one as there were times when it was a little bit slow but I'm still in love with the characters, the world and Aveyard's writing style!

My 2017 TBR List:
I mentioned in my 2017 blog & personal goals blog post that I'm aiming to read 35 books this year. I'm just about to finish my third book of the year thus far so I'm off to a good start - Yay! I thought I would rate the books I've read so far as well as sharing a few others that I want to read throughout the year. I don't have a list of 35 yet so if you have any recommendations that I could add to my list then let me know!
1. Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll // My Rating: 2/5 Stars
2. Girl Online: Going Solo (Girl Online #3) by Zoe Sugg // 1/5 Stars
I was looking forward to reading this as the storyline and the writing improved in the previous book but I was thoroughly disappointed in the lack of imagination and the poor writing!

3. A Court Of Thorns & Roses (ACOTAR #1) by Sarah J. Maas // My Rating: 5/5 Stars
I'm almost finished this so I may as well rate it because it would take something very drastic for me to knock off a star. Even if the ending is anti-climatic or it doesn't pan out the way I hope I still loved everything about this book! Now here's hoping for a good ending - I'll find out today!

I absolutely loved Me Before You. It wrecked me so bad! :-( The movie didn't give the book justice. It was such an inspirational read.
