Cosy Sunday Routine

| My Mindful Sunday Morning Routine! |

At the end of each week, I like to have a mindful morning to switch off and take some time out for myself to reflect back on the week with a grateful heart. I like to acknowledge my accomplishments and allow myself to feel proud of what I've succeeded that week, no matter how big or small those achievements are. This routine has become a fundamental part of my week and it has played a major role in allowing my lifestyle to become more mindful.

The key to my mindful morning routine is a steaming hot Lush bubble bath. A pamper session is the most effective way to switch off and embrace mindfulness, and you can't have a pamper session without a bubble bath. I'm still making my way through my Lush Valentine's stash so today I'll be opting for a small bit of the Unicorn Horn bubble bar as well as the Think Pink bath bomb

After I've relaxed and reflected on the previous week in the bath, I'll continue my pamper session by exfoliating my body using the Soap & Glory Flake Away body scrub. I find exfoliating is one of the best ways to embrace self-care and in my opinion, it's a rejuvenating experience for both the mind and the body. You're scrubbing away old dead skin cells and preparing for a fresh cycle of growth, thus bracing the mind for a fresh start.

On a day-to-day basis, I use a spray on moisturiser like the Aveeno Daily Moisturising After Shower Mist, because my bathroom is always freezing and it's the quickest way to moisturise so I can get into a cosy outfit asap. But during my mindful morning routine, I like to take extra time to massage my body with the Soap & Glory Righteous Butter

The final step of my pamper routine involves a quick manicure to ensure my nails look pretty so I'm not tempted to bite them during the week. I recently bought a new Essie nail polish in the shade 'In Stitches' which is a beautiful reddish brown shade. I then coat my hands in a thick layer of Soap & Glory Hand Food hand cream so my hands are as soft as a baby's skin.

Once I've completed my self-care rituals, I'll move onto to some enriching activities like meditation, reading a novel {I'm hooked on Sarah J Maas' Throne Of Glass series} and turning my phone off while I watch an hour of my current favourite TV series: Scandal.

How do you like to spend your Sundays?
