| Spring Wardrobe Updates! |

I adore cosy Winter evenings snuggled up in a cosy dressing gown with a cup of herbal tea and a good book. However, my excitement for Spring is brewing more so than ever this year. It may be due to the fact that I was looking back on my old Instagram photos for blog post inspiration and I stumbled upon this breathtaking Spring photo. I'm now ready for Cherry Blossoms, brighter evenings, milder weather, fresh sunny days and Easter chocolate. Until Spring arrives and brings with it all the aforementioned things that I love, I'll be evoking Spring through my clothing....

Spring Wardrobe Updates

1. Soft Hues:

Soft neutral hues are ideal for transitioning your Winter wardrobe ahead of the Spring months. White on white is a classic look that adds a light and airy feel to any ensemble, and I've opted to style my favourite pair of white jeans with a delicate white lace top

Another Spring colour that I've added to my wardrobe is blush pink. This colour is immensely popular amongst high street brands at present from homeware items to clothing. I would describe myself as a quintessential 'girly girl' so I'm more than happy that this shade is being embraced this season. My blush pink item of choice for today's look was this metallic shirt dress from Penneys {Similar version}, which complements the white focal points of the outfit.

Light grey is the perfect hue for the transitioning period as it maintains a Wintery ambience in your look whilst the delicacy of the shade works well for Spring style. By incorporating soft grey tones into your outfit through minor details such as shoes, a bag and a watch, it allows the white and blush pink to be the primary focus of the look, creating the ultimate light and airy outfit for Spring.

2) Delicate Details:

Delicate details are an important aspect of any Spring outfit in my opinion. I try to incorporate floral details into my looks as much as possible in Spring and the embroidered floral print on the shirt is a subtle way to achieve this. With embroidery being a huge trend this year it's very easy to subtly inject floral into your Spring style. This Asos shirt is the embodiment of simplicity making it an ideal piece for subtly adding floral detailing to your look.

For the Winter months, I usually wear a structured white knit with my white jeans, but by simply replacing this with a lace top it creates a sophisticated Spring aura. When the Summer months arrive I'll be pairing my white jeans with a slouchy tee as Summer style is associated with loose fitting clothes to create a casual vibe. For now, the intricacy of the lace top makes it the perfect piece for my Spring wardrobe.

3) A New Bag:

During the Winter months, I like to carry an oversized bag as I always seem to need everything but the kitchen sink when I leave my house. Bracing the cold and harsh elements of Winter requires me to carry a lot more things in my handbag than I would usually need. But as soon as the Spring months arrive I like to replace my chunky bag for a neat handbag that's still big enough to carry my daily essentials.

My handbag of choice for the upcoming Spring months is this grey faux suede clutch bag from Koko Couture*. It's larger than a typical 'going-out' clutch with one main compartment that holds the bulk of my essentials as well as some smaller pockets that house my phone, hand sanitizer and other essentials - making it ideal for everyday use. I was floored by the impeccable quality of the material as well as the durable hardware which provide a luxe quality to the bag. I would've thought it was more expensive than it was but it only cost £20 or €26, proving that you can find good quality pieces without a hefty price tag. The classic feminine structure of the bag complements the delicate details of my outfit. I think the grey is sold out but they have a white version and tan version which would also compliment the Spring hues in your wardrobe.
