| Five Favourite Things In The Month Of May! |
Another month has come to an end and for me, the month was filled with enchanting novels, an addictive tv show that left me on tenterhooks, a melt-proof base, an old makeup favourite as well as a new discovery. Without further ado, these were a few of my favourite things in the month of May...Summer brings an abundance of humid, muggy days so wearing a base that feels lightweight is important as there's nothing worse than wearing a thick, heavy foundation whilst you're sweating buckets *insert laughing emoji* Unfortunately I'm not blessed with clear skin so a medium coverage base is a necessity for me during the warmer months. Enter the Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint; You can get a light coverage with a light layer of the product but you can also build it up to medium coverage without it feeling heavy on the skin.
Another Nars product that has been featured in my makeup bag a lot recently is the new Loaded Eyeshadow Palette. I'm currently working on a full review of this which *fingers crossed* will be up later in the week. Spoiler Alert: I love it! The eyeshadows are good quality, they blend well and most of the shades have good pigmentation. It has a great selection of neutral shades to create a basic eye look for both everyday wear as well as evening looks.
Once upon a time, the Soap & Glory Brow Archery pencil used to be featured on blogs day in day out but over the last year or so the hype has died down. I used to love this pencil and it featured on my blog a lot but I haven't owned it for over a year. In May I decided to repurchase it to see if my thoughts on it had changed but I ended up loving it just as much as I did back then! Although I tend to reach for powders and gels more often as I love a strong brow, it is nice to have a pencil for lazy makeup days.
As for lifestyle things, you all know how much I love reading and if you read my recent book roundup then you'll know how excited I was for the release of A Court Of Wings & Ruin by Sarah J. Maas. I absolutely loved this book and it was definitely my favourite read of the month!
I'm weak when it comes to a good tv series and I could spend all day binge watching episodes. A tv show that stole my heart this month was The Good Wife. I had originally tried to watch it during my Leaving Cert but it was a bit too serious and complex during a time when I had to study complex enough subjects {Biology I'm lookin' at you!} so I just gave up watching it. In May, I decided to start watching it again and I'm loving it!
