June Favourites

| Five Favourite Things In The Month Of June! |

We're another month further into the Summer and June was certainly a scorcher of a month with temperatures hitting the 30's. This month's top five picks saw me through what felt like the Sahara desert temperatures, *insert laughing emoji* including some new Summery makeup discoveries, a pair of shorts that prevented me from melting like a snowman, a new self-care activity and some fun Essie shades.....

One: Let's start with the beauty favourites and my most reached for blush last month was Benefit Galifornia. I just love the formula of the Benefit box powders; They blend seamlessly onto the skin without any effort, they have just the right amount of pigmentation and they're long-lasting. The shade of Galifornia is a vibrant coral pink with a luminous gold overspray, gilding the skin with a golden sheen.

Two: Another Summer cheek product that has been a makeup bag favourite these past few weeks is the new Becca Sunlit bronzer. The palest shade, Bali Sands is a warm bronzer with subdued golden particles that provide a natural sun-kissed glow to my pale Irish skin. Becca has changed up the packaging with this product from their usual black and silver colour palette to a brown and gold compact. I think I prefer this packaging and it's definitely Summer appropriate.

Three: Confession time: I'm a nail biter and hence the lack of nail posts or mentions of nail polish on my blog. But June was a big month for me as I decided to curb my nail-biting habit. I've tried to overcome this habit so many times over the years and I've always failed, but I'm really proud to say that I've gone just over three weeks without biting my nails! That's the longest I haven't bitten my nails since I was a child! The reason I've been able to stop biting my nails is down to some new Essie polishes I picked up last month. There was a 3 for 2 offer in Boots so I got three new shades and it's given me a reason to keep my nails nice. The shades I went for were Tart Deco, Muchi Muchi and Eternal Optimist. I'm definitely going to buy Essie polishes on a more regular basis from now on because the expensive price of each nail polish is 100% worth it if I can stop biting my nails.

Four: Another factor that has enabled me to stop biting my nails is the 31-day yoga revolution by Yoga With Adrienne that I've been taking part in. I mentioned in my latest outfit post that I was feeling a bit down, unmotivated and uninspired so I decided to start doing yoga again after not doing it for months. I've been sticking to it and I feel great as a result! Yoga really is a powerful activity for both the mind and the body, and once the 31-day challenge is complete I'm going to stick to doing yoga 6 days a week.

Five: I survived the hot temperatures last month thanks to my new favorite pair of Zara shorts {Outfit Post}. The structure and fit of the shorts make me feel confident, they're lightweight so they were ideal for the hot weather and all the vibrant colours make me feel happy whenever I wear them. Hopefully, we get some more sunny days in July so I can wear them again!

What were your June favourites?

Love,
