Rainy Summer Days

| Rainy Summer Days! |

Summer is associated with blue skies and warm temperatures but living in Ireland means it's inevitable that the Summer would bring forth plenty of rainy days too. We're known for our rainy Summer season but this year the weather has been quite good. We've had a couple of small heatwaves and the majority of the summer has been mild and reasonably dry. But every now and then we get a shower or two and today I'm sharing my fail-safe rainy Summer's day outfit.

Whenever we get a bout of shorts and t-shirt weather I always find it difficult to go back to wearing jeans, but my favourite pair of Zara jeans makes the bitter task a little sweeter. The material is stretchy and comfortable to wear which is always an important factor when choosing the perfect pair of jeans.

The denim wash is quite dark for the Summer months but to brighten the outfit up a bit for the season I usually wear a blush pink top. I've been wearing the colour a lot lately as it's an easy shade to wear and the hue complements my neutral wardrobe made up of whites, creams, greys and of course, black. I bought this Zara jumper a couple of months ago and it has become a firm favourite in my Spring/Summer wardrobe. The material is lighter than a Wintery jumper making it ideal for those slightly chilly Summer days. My favourite feature of the jumper is the ruffled slits on the side, it jazzes up the jumper and it's a good way to embrace the ruffle trend in a subtle way if like me you're a bit iffy about the trend.

Other rainy day essentials include a lightweight biker jacket, a pair of rain-proof ankle boots and a messy bun that still manages to get frizzy in the rain *insert cry laughing emoji*
