Cosy Autumn/Winter Wardrobe Essentials

| Cosy Autumn/Winter Wardrobe Essentials! |

As we're nearing the end of Autumn, the weather is starting to cool down and it's time to start planning my Winter wardrobe. It's been a long process but I feel like I've finally found my style this year and I've been feeling much happier and confident with what I've been wearing in recent months. I've fallen back in love with fashion and over the last few weeks, I've been adding some style basics to my wardrobe, including lots of cosy essentials for Winter.

1) Tights & Socks:
I love stepping out of my comfort zone with fashion and this season I'm doing this by embracing tights that are a bit different from my usual plain black ones. I've already welcomed a few pairs of white, pink, beige and grey tights to my wardrobe. Gossip Girl is my favourite tv show and I get all my fashion inspiration from the show! Blair Waldorf's collection of tights is seriously impressive, from red to blue to mustard, she has a different pair of tights for every occasion, but it's her white tights that are the most famous. I fell in love with the Jonathan Aston white tights (outfit post) a few weeks ago and I've been wearing them a lot recently - they go with everything in my wardrobe!

The PR for Jonathan Aston kindly sent over a selection of some of their other tights and socks a couple of weeks ago that have become apart of my A/W capsule wardrobe. The grey Peace tights*, made up of 24% wool feel soft and will keep me cosy in the icy Winter weather. They have a fluffy, textured finish so not only do they feel cosy but they look cosy too!

As well as white tights, Blair Waldorf is also a fan of black tights with different designs on them and the Jonathan Aston Linear tights* are similar to a few pairs that she wore in the show. They have little cut-out designs running through them which adds a nice touch of detail to an outfit and it makes them stand out more than a plain pair of black tights.

When the temperature drops, my feet always feel really cold so I like to wear a pair of socks over my tights to keep my feet toasty. Plain ribbed or frill socks are essential for this look as you're able to see the socks when wearing ankle boots or trainers and the Jonathan Aston grey rib socks* are perfect!

2) Pretty Skirts & Pinafores:
With lots of lovely tights in my wardrobe, I need something to wear with them, so skirts and pinafores have become a style staple for me recently. I'm loving the plaid trend at the moment and there are so many gorgeous plaid pieces on the high street. I recently got this H&M plaid pinafore and I can't stop wearing it! It's such a classic item to have in your wardrobe and even though plaid is on trend at the moment, I don't think it ever really goes out of style.

As for skirts, I have a few new additions to my wardrobe including this pink pleated skirt as well as a tweed skirt (similar). Pink is not traditionally an Autumn/Winter hue but pairing the pink skirt with some burgundy or even rust hues will transform your outfit to make it A/W appropriate. Tweed is another trend I'm on board with this season as I think it's such an elegant style and I feel like a young Emily Gilmore, haha!

3) Cosy Jumpers:
Most of us probably have one or two cosy jumpers in our wardrobes at this time of year and there's a great selection on the high street this season! I have a few classic styles of jumpers like the cable knit as well as a plain white jumper, but I've also incorporated some fun styles like this pink pearl H&M jumper. Jumpers with lace and ruffles are another way to add some detail to an outfit and I bought this pink jumper with ruffles as well as this pink high neck jumper from River Island

Jumpers are my weakness and I can't stop buying them - Whoever monitors my bank account is probably judging my jumper obsession as we speak *insert laughing emoji* I definitely have enough for the season but that hasn't stopped me from eyeing up a few more like this River Island jumper with 'oh la la ' written on it (how cute is that?!) and this cute Asos white jumper with a frill neck detail which would look so pretty with the pink skirt I mentioned.

4)Snuggly Coats & Jackets:
Every year I treat myself to a new Winter coat and this year's purchase was an amazing pink waterfall coat from Asos. I have so many jackets in my wardrobe as I find them more flattering on my body shape than longer coats, however, they're definitely not warm enough when the weather is freezing so I'm always on the hunt for a long coat that fits nicely. The waist of this coat cinches in and flares out at the bottom and it suits my body shape so well! I love a good statement coat and the bright pink hue of the coat makes it stand out.

My last two cosy wardrobe essentials are a bolero and a faux fur jacket, which are handy to have for any upcoming dressy occasions. If you follow me on Insta-Stories then you'll probably be sick of seeing me wear my H&M faux fur jacket but it goes with everything and can be worn with casual outfits as well as dressy outfits so I'm getting lots of wear out of it! For my bolero pick, I'm obsessed with this one from H&M and I'm tempted to get it for my Christmas day outfit *insert love-heart eye emojis*
