Cosy Festive Favourites...

One of my favourite things about the festive season is the cosy evenings spent snuggled under a fluffy blanket, watching a Christmas film beside the Christmas tree with a cup of tea or hot chocolate. For today's post, I've compiled my top 5 festive favourites for a cosy pamper evening.

1) A Lush Bath:
I love treating myself to a Lush bath every now and then but using their festive bath bombs and bubble bars at this time of year makes my pamper evenings feel extra special and cosy! My Mam surprised me when she got home from a trip to Belfast with one of their new products from the Christmas range, the Candy Cane Bubble Bar which I'm going to save for my Christmas Eve pamper evening - I can't wait!
It's scented with bergamot oil and Sicilian lemon oil so the scent is sweet, citrusy and almost good enough to eat! The citrus notes also remind me of dried oranges and lemons at Christmas time and it's making me want to bake a citrus loaf cake *insert love heart eye emojis*

2) A Pampering Skincare Treat:
After my bath, I like to treat myself to a pampering skincare routine and recently, I finally got to try my dream skincare brand as I added the Sunday Riley U.F.O Oil to my beauty stash. I've only been using it for a week and I'm planning on doing a review or updated skincare routine post in the new year but so far my first impressions of the oil are really good.
There's no better time to try it as I already have a few chocolate induced breakouts this month, oops! I've been slathering the oil on every evening and it reduces the redness of spots overnight and helps heal them a bit quicker than normal. Usually, I'm left with lingering red marks on my face for a few weeks after a breakout but after using this for a week, the three spots I had have healed and the red marks have faded really well so far. Plus the oil is a green colour, making it the most festive skincare product in my collection!

3) Cosy Pyjamas:
My pyjama drawer is probably more full than my wardrobe of 'real clothes' at this stage *insert laughing emoji* There's nothing better than the feeling of fresh sheets and new pyjamas, and I treat myself to a new pair way too often, haha! I've already bought my annual Christmas Eve pyjamas - It's going to be the cosiest evening of the year!

A Cosy Pyjama Edit!

4) Festive Films:
December is a busy month and the best way to wind down after a long day of traffic jams, Christmas parties and shopping is to pop on your favourite Christmas film. My favourites are Home Alone, Elf and The Santa Clause! What's your favourite?

5) Magical Fantasy Reads:
I always like to end my day by reading a chapter or two of a book before bed and my favourite genre to read at this time of year is fantasy. I'm currently reading Caraval by Stephanie Garber which is about a magical performance that takes place once a year where the audience participates. It's an interesting and unique concept and I'm enjoying it so far! I'm hoping to have it finished before Christmas so I can start reading the next book in the series, Legendary over the Christmas holidays. Also on my Christmas reading list is Everless by Sara Holland, another fantasy book as well as Almost Midnight by Rainbow Rowell which is two Wintery short stories so I think it'll be the perfect Christmas read!

What are your cosy festive favourites?
