| My Favourite Beauty Launches In 2018! |
2018 has come to an end and it was a great year for new beauty launches!
The year got off to a good start in the world of new beauty releases when the Mac Lunar New Year collection launched in January. I picked up a lipstick called Good Health from the range and I fell in love with the pink and cream ombre packaging. The shade looks quite dark in the bullet but on my lips, it translates as more of a peachy pink shade with a darker rosy undertone to it and a satin finish.
I favoured creamy and glossy lip products over matte formulas last year so when the Nars Afterglow Lip Balm in Orgasm was released it went straight into my basket. It adds a sheer rosy tint to the lips and it was the perfect low maintenance lip product for my minimal makeup routine during those intense Summer heatwaves!
Charlotte Tilbury The Duchess* is another favourite lipstick launch from 2018, a beautiful tea-rose pink shade. It's from Charlotte's K.I.S.S.I.N.G range which is formulated with lipstick tree extracts to provide a hydrated, plump finish to the lips and it's the perfect wearable pink shade!

Charlotte Tilbury had so many other incredible new launches last year and at the top of my favourite list is the Hollywood Flawless Filter. There was a lot of confusion as to whether this is a foundation or a primer when it first launched but it's more of a multi-use illuminator that can be mixed in with foundation, worn on its own if you're not looking for any coverage, on the cheekbones as a highlighter or underneath foundation as a primer. Whatever way you use it, it adds a gorgeous healthy glow to the skin and provides a soft-focus blurring finish to the skin that makes your base makeup appear smoother and flawless.
Another one of my favourite base makeup discoveries was the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer. A full coverage formula with a lightweight feel, that didn't crease on me and it added a lovely luminous finish, making my eye area look fresh and well rested!
Charlotte Tilbury's Christmas collection was my favourite beauty Christmas gifting range this year! All of the products were beautiful but it was the Stars In Your Eyes eyeshadow palette that stood out for me. The palette houses 12 shades categorised into four different looks called Love Eyes, Power Eyes, Happy Eyes and Confident Eyes, making it easy for everyone to utilise the full palette. There's a nice mix of mattes (5) and shimmers (7) and there's a great selection of wearable neutral shades as well as some fun, darker purple hues.
My last favourite CT launch is the Eyes To Mesmerise Cream Shadow in Star Gold*. This dreamy bronze shade makes my blue eyes pop, the soft, creamy formula blends effortlessly and it looks lovely on its own all over the lid, which is handy for when I need a quick eye makeup look.
Hourglass is another one of my favourite brands and each of their new launches is of the utmost quality. I added the Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick in Champagne Flash and Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow in Aura to my makeup collection last year and I know they'll both be products that I'll love and repurchase for years to come. The Vanish Flash highlighter is a champagne cream highlighter that provides a high-shine glow to the skin. Scattered Light Aura is a beautiful pink shade with iridescent lilac shimmer particles and it's perfect for elevating your eye makeup with some sparkle minus the mess and fallout associated with traditional glitters.
