My Favourite Tinted Lip Balms & Lip Glosses...
One of my least favourite things about Winter is dry, chapped lips so, at the start of the year, I usually reach for nourishing lip products to help heal my parched lips. I've been pairing my makeup back even more than usual recently and a subtle, nourishing lip product really compliments my go-to minimal makeup look. I currently have a selection of lip glosses and tinted lip balms on the go and today I'm sharing my stash with you!Tinted Lip Balms:
My first favourite is the Nars Orgasm lip balm which offers a subtle rosy tint to the lips and provides a glossy, plump look. I tend to reach for this one when I want a 'my lips but better shade' as the rosy tint mimics the natural colour of my lips. And it's definitely the most bourgie lip balm I've ever owned, haha!
When I want the nourishing benefits of a lip balm but the pigment of a lipstick then I'll reach for the Ted Baker Tinted Lip Balm in Nude that I got in a set at Christmas time. This is the most pigmented lip balm out of the bunch and so it lasts much longer on the lips than any other tinted lip balm I've tried. I have another berry-toned shade of this tinted lip balm but the nude shade is definitely my favourite! It's the perfect pinky-nude shade - and who doesn't love a classic pinky-nude lip product? *insert love heart eye emoji*
The Clinique Chubby Stick Lip Balms have been a cult classic in the beauty world and it's easy to see why! A lightweight hydrating formula due to its mango and shea butter ingredients with a pencil-shaped nib that allows for neat application makes it the perfect low maintenance lip product to pop into your daily makeup bag. I have the shade Woppin' Watermelon and in the bullet, it looks like a deeper rosy pink but on the lips, it appears to be more of a sheer light pink colour.
Lip Glosses:
My first foray back into the lip gloss world after not using them for a couple of years was the Luna By Lisa Jordan Lip Gloss Set. The set contains four different pink and nude-hued lip glosses with a creamy, moisturising formula that doesn't feel sticky at all. My most-used shades in the set are Sapphire which is a deeper pinky nude shade as well as Pink Ruby, a lighter blush pink hue.
I got the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 05 for Christmas and I know I'm years late jumping on this bandwagon but I'm so glad I've finally tried this coveted lip gloss formula! Whilst I love lip glosses that have more pigment to them, sometimes I just want something subtle and sheerer that I can wear with my minimal makeup routine or layered on top of a lipstick. Highly pigmented lip glosses seem to be a trend at the moment and it makes finding a subtle lip gloss a little bit harder but this is a great option! It provides a subtle hint of pink and a gorgeous sheen to the lips!
However, it's definitely not my favourite lip product in the entire world, simply because it has a very sickly sweet smell which I'm not a fan of. The formula definitely makes up for it though and it was exactly what I was looking for, but if the scent was a little less intense then it would be even better.
Another recent addition to my collection is the Bare Minerals Gen Nude Buttercream Lip Gloss in Flirt, a dark mauve nude. In terms of pigment, this formula sits in the middle of the other two offerings as it provides more colour to the lips than the Clarins gloss but less than the Luna By Lisa glosses. What I like about this gloss is that I can build up the colour a little or sheer it out which is something I can't do with the others.

I love seeing and reading about different beauty products and loved the photos showing the shades and the look of the lip glosses. I usually use lip balm and lipstick 💕
