Four Skincare Favourites...

It had been a while since I'd had a skincare reshuffle, so a few months ago, I utilised the Black Friday deals and Christmas to add some new and old favourites into my skincare routine. I've always had a tumultuous relationship with my skin, if I'm not suffering from a sore, inflamed acne flare-up then it's usually dry and as flaky as a Cadbury Flake bar. However, I'm really happy with my skincare routine at the moment, my skin has improved so much after a bad acne flare-up at the start of the year and for today's post, I wanted to have a chat about the products that have helped my skin...

Clinique Take The Day Off:
I repurchased my favourite cleanser ever and every time I re-introduce it back into my routine I wonder why I ever use anything else! It's expensive but definitely worth it for me as it's the most effective makeup remover I've used, it's nourishing for my dry skin, it's fragrance-free so it's gentle and doesn't irritate my skin, which is especially good for when I have sore, inflamed acne.

Origins Original Skin Cleansing Jelly:
This is another nourishing cleanser pick and even though it's supposed to be a makeup removing cleanser, I usually use it as my second cleanser after Take The Day Off to make sure all traces of makeup and SPF are gone. It has a gel-like consistency which feels oily when massaged into dry skin, I then rub the cleanser in some more with wet hands which turns the cleanser slightly milky and I wash it off with a warm muslin cloth. My skin feels nourished, and looks radiant and clear whenever I use this!

Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask & Sunday Riley UFO Oil

I've been an avid facial oil user for a couple of years now but I've only ever used ones targeted at hydration and radiance, and as a frequent breakout sufferer I've always been intrigued to try this Sunday Riley number. The UFO oil is formulated with Salicylic Acid which targets congested skin, helping to clear and prevent blackheads and breakouts. I find it really good for reducing redness and inflammation of spots, helping them to heal quicker and I notice such a difference in my skin (my skin looks congested and breakouts don't heal as well) if I don't use it for a few days - it's become a staple in my routine!

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask:
During the transitional period between seasons, I notice my skin becoming dry and flaky, but this season I'm combatting it with this heavenly overnight treatment. Origins are by far my top brand for face masks and this is definitely my favourite one I've tried from them! I usually apply it once or twice a week during a pamper evening and I wake up with hydrated, plump, radiant skin - it's like an overnight facial in a bottle! And the citrus fruity smell always has me craving an apricot Petits Filous, haha!

What are your favourite skincare products at the moment?

Love,
Cliona xx
