My Current Haircare Staples...

One of my beauty goals for this year is to focus more on my haircare routine and over the past few months, I've found a routine that has been keeping my hair healthy and happy! I've also not needed to wash it as much with this new routine - before I was washing it every three days but now I can go four or five days without washing my hair before it starts to look greasy!

For washing my hair, I've been loving the Umberto Giannini Beach Wash Coconut Oil Shampoo that I discovered last Summer and at the start of this year, I added the Beach Wash Conditioner to my routine too. My hair is thick and it can often feel heavy and weighed down by certain shampoos and conditioners but this combo leaves my hair feeling light and swishy. They're both formulated with coconut oil so not only do they make my hair smell amazing, but they also leave it feeling soft and nourished. A dreamy combination!

I've had my old hairdryer since I was 11 so it's safe to say it was time for a little upgrade and I got the Babyliss Elegance Hair Dryer for Christmas. I'm not gonna lie, it was the pretty pink finish that attracted me towards it initially but it also happened to be great value, it's not too heavy and it has 3 heat as well as 2 speed settings which is all I need from a hairdryer. Plus, it dries my hair quicker than my old Revlon hairdryer and anything that reduces the time spent styling my thick hair gets a thumbs up from me!

For styling products, I've been reaching for the Phyto PhytoKératine Extreme Exceptional Cream* from Cosmetics Online which I apply to damp hair before blow drying as it protects against heat as well as providing a sleek, smooth finish to my hair. I've noticed such a difference in the overall condition of my hair since I started using this, it feels healthier and it noticeably reduced my split ends! I haven't been able to get my haircut for a while as I haven't been feeling well enough to in recent months so this has definitely helped combat split ends and keep it nourished until I'm well enough to get my hair cut.

I usually follow up with a few spritzes of the Phyto Phytokératine Repairing Thermal Spray* for extra nourishment. It has lots of great benefits for the hair because of the blend of nourishing ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid for hydration, Botanical Keratin for repairing, Ceramides for smoothing and Yun Zhi Extract for providing thermal protection. It can be used on damp or dry hair so it's become a staple for me when I straighten my hair to prevent damage and my hair always feels so silky after using it.

Wet Brush Shine Enhancer

My final favourite is a hairbrush and I've been using the Wet Brush Shine Enhancer* for the past few months. I've been a Wet Brush fan since I was a teenager but before this version came into my life I was using the original. This version has a combination of natural boar bristles that add shine by distributing the hair's natural oils, as well as their IntelliFlex bristles which glide through tangles with no tugging or pain. I loved the original Wet Brush but the Shine Enhancer has definitely become my favourite because it really does add shine and makes my hair look and feel less greasy, so I've been able to get an extra day or two in between hair washes since I started using it!
