Five Origins Favourites...

Origins has been one of my favourite skincare brands since I was a teenager and recently, I've fallen in love with the brand even more as I've been discovering some new products as well as rediscovering my love for old favourites too. I realised that the brand is dominating my #topshelfie at the moment so I wanted to share the five favourites that I currently have on rotation...

The Ginzing moisturiser is definitely one of my most repurchased products of all time; I first discovered it five years ago and it's still a firm favourite in my beauty routine! This refreshing lightweight gel moisturiser is great for combo skin types like mine as it provides a hit of hydration to the skin - it's like a drink of water for the skin - without clogging pores and making the skin feel greasy. It's a great morning moisturiser for me as it sits nicely under makeup and ingredients such as Panax Ginseng and Caffeine help brighten the skin, making it look plump and fresh. However, when my skin is feeling particularly dry it's definitely not enough hydration for me so I usually pair a nourishing facial oil with it or use something a bit more nourishing in the evenings.

Origins Original Skin Cleansing Jelly:
Nourishing cleansers are my jam and this cleansing jelly has a lovely gel formula that turns milky when you add water, so it cleanses the skin without stripping it or leaving behind a greasy residue. It's a simple fuss-free effective cleanser that can be used to remove makeup or as a second/morning cleanse. Plus my skin looks perkier and more radiant after using it, making it a morning skincare essential for me!

Five Origins Favourites

I feel like a broken record at this stage by saying that Origins is my favourite brand for face masks but it's true! I never knew I needed an exfoliating mask until I tried this gem but now I couldn't imagine not having it in my routine. It's formulated with Willow Herb, Rose Clay and exfoliating Jojoba Beads so it sloughs away dead skin cells and deep cleans the skin, revealing smoother skin and reduces pore size.

Another favourite mask find from the brand and this one is a nourishing overnight treatment which is great for when my skin is dry, flaky and feeling tight. I slather this on in the evenings a couple of times a week and it sinks into the skin like a moisturiser but provides a more intense hit of nourishment than usual moisturisers. I wake up to smooth, replenished skin and I've noticed an overall difference in how smooth my skin feels since adding this to my routine.

This is the most recent addition to my routine but one I've been loving very much! It's a purifying mask with standout ingredients such as Zinc Oxide, Sulfur and Salicylic Acid that draws all the gunk out of your skin to achieve clearer skin. I love multi-masking as I have combo skin so I tend to just use it on my cheeks, chin and nose whilst popping a hydrating mask on my forehead (it's drier than the Sahara Desert up there, lol!) and after 10 momentos, it drew out impurities, my skin was less congested and it didn't overly dry out my skin either like some clay masks can.

What's your favourite skincare brand?

Love,
Cliona xx
