My Daily Makeup Favourites...
As a self-professed beauty enthusiast I love trying new makeup products and switching up my beauty routines but recently I've found a daily edit of some staple products that I keep coming back to every day. All of the products are quick and easy to use for an effortless daily makeup look!
Base:
My dry-combo skin can often look dull so I crave allll the glow from my skincare and makeup products. Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter is my top pick for achieving a flawless radiant complexion at the moment as it really is like a filter for the skin! It provides a soft-focus finish which blurs out pores and makes the skin appear smoother as well as adding a gorgeous natural healthy glow to my complexion. It's a staple in my makeup routine!
I have a selection of a few foundations that I rotate between and one that I'm loving at the moment is the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. A medium-full coverage foundation with the most natural satin finish. As it's a little heavier in the coverage department than I usually go for on a day-to-day basis, especially at this time of year, I tend to reach for it on days where I need a little more coverage but I don't want it to look like I'm wearing a lot of foundation. It's also formulated with coconut water and hyaluronic acid which help give a smooth, flawless application; I've been getting a few compliments on my skin when I wear it so that's always how I know a foundation is a keeper!
Another flawless base companion of mine lately is Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Away Concealer. A godsend for tired eyes as the formula is full coverage with a lightweight consistency that doesn't look cakey and it provides a lovely luminous fresh finish, making me look more awake! This concealer has become my holy grail and it ruined all other concealers for me, haha, as every time I see photos of myself now when I'm wearing a different concealer I think I look so tired *insert the monkey with his hands over his eyes emoji*
Cheeks:
For the cheeks, I'm loving the bronzer from my Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette as it adds definition and a sun-kissed warmth to the skin all in one, so I don't have to reach for a separate contour and bronzer to achieve a sculpted and bronzed complexion.
I've been skipping the highlighter that comes in that little palette and opting for the Charlotte Tilbury Bar Of Gold highlighter palette instead. It contains three luminous highlighters, including a pale gold shade, a light rose gold hue as well as deep bronze gold that provide a gorgeous luminous glow to the skin without any chunky shimmer or accentuating textured skin. I love that I can achieve a subtle glow for every day but they also build up well to a more concentrated highlight look. Plus they look beautiful on the eyes too!
To complete my glowing complexion, I add a pop of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat for a pink flush to the cheeks. This vivid coral pink hue is perfect for Summer and you cannot beat the dreamy Hourglass blush formula; They're infused with their ambient lighting powders so they give a flawless and radiant finish.
Eyes:
Charlotte Tilbury's eyeshadow formula is my favourite and my most used eyeshadow palette so far this year is the Stars In Your Eyes palette from Charlotte's Christmas gifting range. Sadly, it was limited edition so I won't gush on about it for too long. It has such a beautiful range of shades and I love how the brand lays out the shadows in four different looks, making it easy for everyone of all ages and makeup skills to create some lovely looks with the palette. I'm excited to see what palettes she'll be releasing this Christmas, ahh exciting times ahead!
Lips:
I'm not very loyal to lipsticks, I love wearing a different one each day but over the last few months, I've mostly been reaching for a Charlotte Tilbury combo: Pillow Talk lipstick* paired with the Pillow Talk Lip Cheat lip liner. The former is the perfect pinky nude shade whilst the matte formula is non-drying and feels comfortable on the lips and the latter is the longest lasting lip liner in my collection; it's creamy formula glides onto the lips effortlessly and the colour compliments almost all of my nude and soft pink lipstick shades.
What are your current makeup favourites?
Love,
Cliona xx
