Nourishing Skincare For The Colder Weather...
As November draws closer, the weather is slowly but surely starting to get colder and my skin and lips are already starting to see the effects. Dry, flaky skin is my least favourite thing about Winter so recently, I've discovered a few new nourishing picks to see me through the colder weather...
Starting with cleanser I've been loving the Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse. I've been following skincare guru, Caroline Hirons' advice for years so I'm really excited to finally try her product in collaboration with one of my favourite brands, Pixi! Inside you'll find a cleansing balm on one side with a cleansing cream on the other. The cleansing balm is similar to my beloved Clinique Take The Day Off cleansing balm as it dissolves makeup, turning into an oily consistency which helps nourish the skin whilst the cleansing cream is used as the second step to further cleanse the skin once the bulk of my makeup is removed.
I'm absolutely loving this and it'll definitely be a repurchase product! It's a simple fuss-free product that makes my evening cleansing easier, it's scent-free making it ideal for my sensitive acne-prone skin and it's such a handy product for travelling as you can just take the one product for your double cleansing evening routine.

If you've seen my recent beauty wish list post then you'll know that the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask has been on my wish list for ages so I was really happy to be treated to it for my birthday this month. I've only used it a few times thus far but I wanted to share my first impressions of it anyway and I'll keep you updated in future posts with how I'm getting on with it. But so far it's ultra-nourishing, leaves my skin feeling nicely plump and hydrated but I've also heard that it has helped get rid of those pesky under the skin bumps so I'm excited to see if it does that - I'll keep you updated!
I've been loving two products from a new brand discovery for me, Melora and their Manuka Honey & Oil Double Action Moisturiser* has been a firm favourite in my skincare routine in recent weeks. Before this arrived I had been using a new moisturiser which caused an acne flare-up as it was just too heavy for my skin! Because my skin is so temperamental, I'm constantly torn between needing an ultra-nourishing cream to help combat the dry flaky patches of skin I get but it can't be too thick either otherwise, it breaks me out. As soon as I switched to this Melora offering it soothed my inflamed acne breakout and it started to calm down but my skin still felt nourished enough so I haven't had any dry skin recently.
I've also been loving the Manuka Honey & Oil Double Action Body Wash* which is a gel formula that turns slightly creamy when massaged into the skin, leaving my skin feeling silky soft and refreshed after my shower.
Obviously, the products are formulated with manuka honey as well as manuka oil which is known for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties so this range is great if you suffer from acne but still want to nourish the skin and prevent dry skin in the colder weather! Both products have a light scent and are gentle on sensitive skin.
