Christmas Gift Ideas: Lifestyle

The most wonderful time of the year is on its way and I'm kicking off the festivities on my blog with a good ol' fashioned gift guide post! For my first gift guide, I always like to start off with the lifestyle edition as there's nothing I love more than on Christmas morning, opening up a pair of cosy pyjamas or a book to curl up with during the holidays or perhaps a special little jewellery box if I've been extra good this year *insert the monkey with his hands over his mouth emoji* Without further ado, here are my lifestyle picks for Christmas gifts...

Jewellery is always a special gift to give and if you shop around you'll find some great deals. I got pieces from brands such as Ted Baker, Thomas Sabo for reduced prices before - keep an eye out for Cyber Week deals as well as designer outlets. Last year for Christmas I got my Thomas Sabo pink charm bracelet with the ballet slipper charm and something like this makes a nice gift as you can add to the charm collection for future gift ideas.

Candles come in all different price ranges and scents so there's something to suit everyone! For a luxurious option, The White Company is my go-to brand and you can't beat their classic Winter fragrance at this time of year which comes in a set with all of the other seasonal candles too. I also love the Cashmere scent (review) and Orange Rind sounds dreamy too! I always include them in my gift guides (haha!) but I just love them and they're a bit more affordable in my budget than other luxurious candle brands.

Stationary gifts are always handy for people especially for a university student like me! Planners are a great little gift idea and like candles, they also come in all different varieties and price points. Home Sense is a great place for finding planners for €15 or less but there are also smaller pocket diaries which would be cheaper too. Kikki K is another one of my favourite places for planner shopping (you can get them on Asos now which is handy!) and there is just something about the simplicity of their pink leather 2020 diary that I love.

Environmentally conscious gifts are something to bear in mind this year as we really do need to look after our planet. Last year for Christmas I got a glass keep cup to avoid using takeaway cups and of course, I opted for a pink one! There are so many different options but my top pick this year is the Stojo Biggie Cup in rose as it's collapsible so it's ideal for popping in your handbag and the colour is so pretty! Last year, my sister had metal straws on her Christmas wish list which was a great idea. We didn't end up finding any as it seems everyone else had the idea of buying metal straws at the time too because they were sold out everywhere - but thankfully we both got a set in the new year though!

Books, whether you're a fiction fan, from romance to fantasy to sci-fi, or if non-fiction is more your thing - in the world of books, there are lots to choose from for your gifting needs! I feel like you can't go wrong a lifestyle, coffee table book as most people love them. I currently have Caroline Foran's book The Confidence Kit in my TBR pile and the pretty pink cover looks lovely displayed on a shelf/desk!

Makeup & Jewellery Storage - Finally, if you're not sure what kind of makeup to buy for the makeup lover in your life then a makeup bag might be an option. This pink suede makeup bag looks gorgeous whilst this unicorn one is very fun - my niece would love this as a pencil case actually as she's obsessed with unicorns! I also have a soft spot for my Ted Baker makeup bag which is definitely pricier but worth it in my opinion, if you want a splurge.
For the jewellery collector, a new jewellery box would probably go down well and last Christmas I got a layer of the Stackers jewellery box. You can build your collection with different tiers and last year, I just started out with a first layer and maybe next year I might add another layer to it. They have a gorgeous colour selection but mine is pink of course!

What are your favourite lifestyle gifts to give at Christmas time?

Love,
Clíona xx
