A Festive Makeup Menu...

There's not long left to go until the big day is finally here! I'm getting so excited... the presents are adorned in pink Christmas wrapping paper, the fridge is stocked with yummy food, Alexa is playing a Christmas playlist and my pink Christmas pyjamas are washed and folded waiting to be worn on Christmas Eve. But as a beauty enthusiast, what I'm most excited about is getting ready on Christmas day, putting a nice outfit on and applying some festive makeup picks. Here's a look at what's in my makeup bag for the festive period this year...

A Glowing Base:
I like my complexion to be glowing as bright as my Christmas tree so I'll be reaching for my Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow primer* for a radiant base. It provides a dreamy lit-from-within glow and blurs the skin making it appear smoother. It's dreamy!

My favourite foundation over the past few months has been my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation, a full coverage foundation with a lightweight formula and a beautiful natural satin finish that makes my complexion look so smooth and healthy - it will definitely disguise the signs on my skin of too much chocolate consumption!

I've been dreaming of owning the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder for years and whenever I've been thinking about buying it new launches come out that are a bit more exciting so I never got a chance to pick it up. But this Black Friday it was my aim to get it and I did with 20% discount so that's a bonus seeing as I nearly bought it full price a few times! I've been saving it to use on Christmas Eve so I can't wait to finally try it and I'll share my thoughts on it in a blog post in the new year.

Eyes:
I love a vampy eye look with deep purples and burgundies at this time of year and I think The Vintage Vamp palette* is perfect for the festivities. Not only do the shades have winter and Christmas written all over them but the palette is so easy to use and I don't really have to think about what shadows to use because it's already mapped out for you - which means more time to eat chocolate *insert winking emoji*

You can never have too much sparkle at Christmastime so I might add some extra sparkle with my Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow in Aura, an iridescent glittering pink shade that will look gorgeous with the purple hues in the CT quad.

Lips:
I debated wearing a red lip but I have a few outfits planned that I'm still deciding on to wear but a red lip doesn't really go with any of them so I think I'll just go for a nude instead and I might wear red another day throughout the holidays. My pick at the moment is my Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips 2 lipstick in Dancefloor Princess, a stunning pinky nude hue with a creamy, nourishing formula and it has red packaging so that makes it festive!

What products will be in your makeup bag for the festive period?

Love,
Clíona xx
